PRIVACY POLICY IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT

 

National Credit Services (NCS) collects consumer personal information for the purpose of collecting debts as requested by NCS’s clients.  A resident of the State of California may make a request to know the personal information that NCS has in its possession with respect to him/herself and the categories of personal information that NCS collects.  A resident of the State of California may also make a request to delete any personal information that NCS has in its possession with respect to him/herself. All requests must be verifiable; meaning that there must be sufficient identification information in the request so that NCS may confirm that the person making the request is the same person about whom the request concerns.  A request may be made by an authorized agent.  If a consumer uses an authorized agent to make a request, the consumer must provide written permission for NCS to respond to the authorized agent. 

 

All requests for information and to delete will be investigated by NCS.  NCS will confirm receipt of a verifiable request within ten (10) days unless NCS responds to the request itself.  NCS will respond to all requests within forty-five (45) days unless additional time to investigate the matter is necessary.  If additional time is required, NCS will notify the consumer that additional time will be required.  In such event, NCS may take up to forty-five (45) additional days so that the response to the request is sent to the consumer within ninety (90) days of the date the request was received. 

 

            NCS will honor all requests to delete information unless a statutory exemption exists to the deletion requirement.

 

NCS DOES NOT SELL PERSONAL INFORMATION.

 

NCS will not discriminate against any consumer because a consumer made a request set forth in this policy including, but not limited to:

 

·            Denying goods or services to the consumer

·            Charging different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties

·            Providing a different level or quality of goods or services to the consumer, if the consumer exercises the consumer’s rights.

·            Suggesting that the consumer will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
